The team claimed the Saudi King’s Cup again in the 1972/73 season. During the 1976/77, 1977/78, and 1978/79 seasons, Al-Ahli SFC secured their second streak of three consecutive Saudi King’s Cup titles in club history. In the 1977/78 season, they won the Saudi Professional League title for the first time. In the 1982/83 season, Al-Ahli SFC lifted the Saudi King’s Cup again after a four-season gap. On May 28, in the final round of the 2023-24 Saudi League, Al-Ahli SFC defeated Al-Fayha 1-0 at home, finishing the season with 65 points in third place. In July, Al-Ahli SFC loaned out Allan Saint-Maximin and Malcom. In August, Alexandre Christian Gomes da Costa and Ivan Toney transferred to the club. On November 26, in the 5th round of the AFC Champions Elite League, Al-Ahli SFC defeated defending champions Al Ain 2-1 away, becoming the first team to qualify for the knockout stage after a five-match winning streak.
