Ulytau are at home against Ordabasy, and I’m backing under 2.5 goals here.
This isn’t going to be a goalfest. Ulytau are the kind of side that sit deep and stay compact; breaking them down takes a lot of effort. They don’t push up much themselves and they’re not fond of taking risks. Home or away, it’s the same approach — stay solid first, then hope to nick one from a set piece.
Ordabasy are certainly stronger on paper, but they’re not the type to suddenly go out and score three or four goals. They can keep the ball and their build-up has some structure, but once they get near the edge of the box, they often lack that extra bit of explosiveness. Against a low block, they frequently pass it around and end up delivering a cross, with very little real threat. The clock just ticks away.
Both teams play at a slow tempo. Ulytau will do everything they can to drag it down, and Ordabasy won’t exactly come flying out of the blocks. The first half is likely to be 0-0, and if one goal decides it in the second half, that’s probably about right. A 1-0 or 0-0 script suits under 2.5 perfectly.
