Thomas Tuchel is set to extend his contract with England until 2028, leading the team in the home UEFA EURO 2028!

The 52-year-old German coach Thomas Tuchel is expected to sign a new deal to remain as England head coach until 2028, with the new contract likely to be confirmed ahead of today's 2026-27 UEFA Nations League draw.
Tuchel's original contract was due to expire after the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States. It is understood that the German tactician is excited about the opportunity to manage England in the 2028 European Championship.
The new contract will ensure the 52-year-old remains in charge of England until the end of the European Championship. UEFA EURO 2028 will be co-hosted by England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland, with Wembley Stadium hosting the semi-finals and final.
Tuchel was appointed in October 2024 and officially started his role in January 2025, with his original contract set to end after the World Cup. In his first year in charge, Tuchel has led England to 9 wins and 1 loss in 10 matches, including 8 consecutive victories without conceding a goal in World Cup qualifiers, with the only defeat being a 1-3 friendly loss to Senegal.
